Reese said so many funny things today. Here is a sample of our conversations...
Mommy: "Reese, what is your full name?"
Reese: "R - E - S - E"
M: "That is how you spell your name. Your full name is Reese Elizabeth Haag."
R: "Yay! Reese Elithbeth Haag!"
I was cleaning some leaves out of our bushes and Reese had fun helping. I kept giving her leaves to carry to the woods and told her, "Thank you!" Each time Reese replied, "Thank you too!"
M: "Do you know what town we live in? What's the name of our town?"
R: Thought for awhile, then smiled and said enthusiastically "Home!"
M: "Did you know a real princess got married today?"
R: Looked surprised/amazed and said, "What's her name?"
M: "Princess Catherine."
R: "Does she have long hair like Tangled?" (the movie)
M: "Yes, her hair is long. But not as long as in Tangled."
R: "What's the other one's name?"
M: Assuming she means the princess in Tangled said, "Rapunzel"
R: "She wears a purple dress!"

Picnic Drama
Reese and I had a picnic in our backyard today. All went well until Reese saw the cookie I brought outside. Unfortunately she has her mom's sweet tooth and flipped out when I told her she had to eat her sandwich before the cookie. She was so upset we had to go inside and calm down with her paci in her bed (the only place she is allowed to have her paci). When she finally calmed down, we went downstairs and started eating her sandwich again. She tortured herself while eating by asking me "Can I see the cookie?", then "Can I hold it?" Eventually she finished her sandwich and was rewarded with that cookie. Oh the drama!

Fuzz
Reese is obsessed with getting fuzz out of her toes. She takes off her socks and inspects multiple times a day. If she sees fuzz between her toes, she immediately takes it out. If she can't get it, she asked me to "scrub it" and get it out for her. Her toe fuzz obsession has expanded to my toes too. This is very serious buiness, at least according to the serious looks on our faces in this picture.

Lake Easter
We finished up our Easter celebrations with a fun day at the Lake with the Haags. Reese could not get enough of her cousin Aubrey and gave her lots of hugs and kisses thoughout the day. It was a bit warmer today, so we spent more time outside going on another Easter egg hunt, playing baseball, and riding the 4 wheeler and new scooter Troy and Tammy found for free on the side of the road. Good times!

Trip to Austin
Pump It Up
We enjoyed our morning with our neighbors at Pump It Up, an inflatable party zone. Reese was a little overwhelmed with the busy place and wanted the bounce houses all to herself, like at home! So, we just watched the other kids for awhile until Reese warmed up - just in time for the Easter egg hunt.
We concluded our morning wiht a trip to McDonalds with our neighborhood friends.

Twin Cities Tourists
Our weekend fun continued as we acted like Twin Cities tourists today. We went to the Como Zoo, Minnehaha Falls, and a Wild game.
I think Reese's favorite activity was the Wild game. She had a blast eating an entire container of popcorn and watching the players on the ice. While we hope Reese shares our love for playing and watching sports, we really hope this excitement isn't a sign that she will become a hockey player. I don't want sit in cold arenas as she grows up! To be safe, I think we'll only expose her to volleyball, basketball, and softball games in the future.

Singing Happy Birthday
To celebrate Daddy's birthday (shhhhh... it's his last birthday in the 30's!), we went to the Waterpark of America and stayed overnight in a hotel. Reese had fun at the waterpark, but I think just as much fun in the hotel room singing and eating birthday cake.

A Serious Conversation
I forgot to post this video awhile ago, but think it's so funny! Allow me to translate if you cannot understand everything Reese says... “Ride, ride, ride in the car. Ride, ride, ride, ride! Time to get off. … You take off? Ready to get off? I do, I do, I really do like it! … Ok, fairy. You start with red or two? Oh, look at your dress! I love it! You want to do 5? Yeah, I do like to do 5. I really do like 5!”
One, Two, Three, Bonk!
Here's a video I took of Reese awhile ago. She made up a new game called, "One, Two, Three, Bonk!" Silly girl. Libby even got in on the action.

Grandpa Cipra
Reese had an extra fun day with Grandpa Cipra. First they tackled a big project. They put reinforcers on all the torn holes in the binder where we print her blog. Reese stayed focused on the task for a long time and said, "This was a good idea, Grandpa."
Then they went for a long walk in the woods in our backyard. Reese walked on all the logs and climbed the big hill to the neighbor's yard. She kept saying "Where should we go next?"
A very fun day!

Big Girl Room
Reese is now in her big girl bed, and her big girl room is complete! She moved into her big bed over a week ago, and things were going so well, I didn't want to jinx myself by posting it on the blog. :)
We moved Reese into a big bed for two reasons - (1) I love her new bedding (complete with a bed skirt that Reese calls the bed's tutu) and (2) for me. I was still rocking her to sleep, and we both were starting to get uncomfortable in the rocking chair. We now lay together in bed to fall asleep. Reese falls asleep much faster, and I typically wake up about 2 hours later too.
Reese does not crawl out of her bed when she wakes up. She still calls for us and we go in to get her. She certainly has the ability crawl up and down her bed, but she prefers to have us get her up - which is perfectly fine by me.
Libby sleeps with Reese every night, all night long. She curls up at the foot of the bed while we're reading stories, and is usually still there when we go get Reese in the morning. It's really sweet.
