Ada's Baptism

Reese's second cousin Ada was baptized today and we were honored to be her sponsors. Ada is a beautiful baby and she did very well on her special day... and Reese did well too at the front of the church. I think these two are going to be great buddies growing up.

Old Friends

We enjoyed a playdate with some "old" friends from the New Mama group we participated in when Reese was first born. Ava, Evelyn, Edie (all 5 months) and Reese (4 months) are all getting so big!

In the second picture, Edie seems to be saying, "Hey Reese, I have to ask you something about this burp cloth" and Reese is saying, "Why is she touching me... get me out of here!" Guess it's time to start working on our social skills.

Baby Luca

We went to visit our friend Kristi and her new baby Luca today. Luca is 3 weeks old and almost the same size as Reese! It was fun to hold Luca because, despite his big size, he is a floppy snuggly newborn instead of an active baby like Reese who constantly wants to be kicking and on the go. What a difference 3 months makes!

Sitting Up

Reese is working on sitting up, so we try out all the chairs & couches in the house. She seems to like the living room couch best because she found a pillow that is just her size.

Book Club

Reese has really taken an interest in books -- looking at the pages while Mommy reads to her and tasting the soft books. She is a future book club member!

ExerSaucer

Our big girl tried out her ExerSaucer today. She is a little small for it, so we just propped her up with a blanket and kept a close eye to make sure she didn't topple over. Reese really seemed to enjoy the toy - and we didn't even spin her around to see the other side yet!

Nap Needed

Just when I thought Reese was turning into a good night sleeper, she has reverted back to waking up twice each night. Daddy takes the 5am shift when he doesn't have to work... then takes a much needed nap in the afternoon.

Who is that beautiful baby?

Reese enjoys looking in the mirror and wondering, "Who is that beautiful baby... and why does she keep looking at me?"

Baby Einstein

Reese enjoyed watching her new Baby Einstein video, "Baby Beethoven." She was entertained for 20 minutes straight and is now a genius (according to her parents)!
