This is the way they roll.
All the kids were excited as we took off and saw the
earth and clouds below. Reese and Lauren
were big girls sitting together during the flight decent into NC. Emmy didn't cry or nap on the plane or 2 1/2
hour car ride to beach house.
Once we arrived, we toured the huge beach house and hit the pool (there were 3 pools -- 2 on the roof and 1 on ground level).
The beach was right across the street, and the kids loved it. They saw dolphins jumping just off shore and
Reese and Lauren spent hours with Daddy getting blasted by the big waves. As they jumped, they would say, "Is that all you
got?!?!" Emmy liked to run on the shore
and run up the sand dune hills. Here are some videos from the beach: video 1, video 2, video 3.
Of course, Reese and Emmy found animals. They played ball with little dogs on the beach, helped a little duck that couldn't get out of our beach house pool, and listened to the frogs make crazy noises.
For the groom's dinner, we want on a boat cruise and were attacked by
pirates!
The pirate captain was pretty freaky with his red eyes!
When the pirate boat pulled up, Reese was scared at first, but we just kept telling her that it was just a pretend show.
Emmy, on the other hand, was not scared at all. She told me she squirted the pirates with water and went "bam, bam, bam" waving her arms like she was fighting them.
The pirates tied Grandma up! And Lauren cried when they tied Brian up - so cute!
The beach wedding was beautiful.
The only minor incident was Emmy peed in the beach sand during the ceremony and then lifted up her dress during pictures showing off her buns. Ha!
Then we all went back to the beach house for good food, drinks, and dancing.
After 5 great days, it was time to head home. The girls took a shot at flying the plane.
Then decided to go back to their seats and sit together all in a row for take-off. They took the safety warnings seriously and read their pamphlets.
