Old Time Baseball

St. John's Lutheran concluded their 150th anniversary celebration with an Old Time Baseball Game.

The umpire explained the rules from 1864: no gloves (bare hands!), you can catch after one bounce and it's an out, you cannot overrun the bases, and more.

Todd had the play of the game with a diving, one-handed catch and he went 5/6 hitting with a triple.  St. John's beat St. Croix 14-4.  Way to go, Eagles!

But, I have to confess,  the girls' favorite part was the pie and ice cream after the game.
