Finley
We hung out with our dear family friends the Nelson's tonight. We got to introduce the newest additions to the group - Finley (2 months) and Reese (7 months). Reese held hands and tried to comfort her new friend as they learned how crazy and competitive things can get when our families get together.

Another first
Since we take a picture of nearly every "first" in Reese's life, here is one of her riding in a grocery cart like a big girl for the first time. She loved sitting up, so she babbled and smiled at people while we shopped. She was also fascinated with the checkout process. She sat still and watched in amazement as every single item was scanned. I now know what we can do for entertainment in the coming winter months -- just go to the grocery store!

Bump
Oh no! Reese got her first bump tonight when she toppled over and hit her forehead on the hard floor. Reese cried a little, but I think Daddy and I were more upset than she was. I know this is the first of many bumps and bruises to come now that Reese is more active, but the first is the hardest (at least for the parents). :(

Playing Outside
It was beautiful outside today... and I know these days are limited. So, Reese and I spent as much time outside as possible today. We went for a walk, played on the swing set, sat on a blanket in the yard, and even put the pack 'n play on the front porch. I am personally exhausted from all the fresh air, but Reese is still raring to go this evening. I wish I had her energy!

Errands Back Home
Reese and I came home from Austin last night. She was excited to see her Daddy and now won't take her eyes off of him. Of course he loves it.
Today we went out and about running errands. First, Todd and I decided to get our haircut at the same time. So we simply brought in the pack 'n play and set it up in the salon between us. She was a good girl and provided entertainment for the stylists. Then we ran to Target where I spent my usual $100 even though we stopped in to grab one thing. How does that always happen?
