I Love Peyton

Reese loves her big cousin Peyton! A few cute pictures of the two of them together this weekend.

The Emmys

Although we never watch TV anymore, Reese is excited to watch the Emmy Awards tonight!

Finley

We hung out with our dear family friends the Nelson's tonight. We got to introduce the newest additions to the group - Finley (2 months) and Reese (7 months). Reese held hands and tried to comfort her new friend as they learned how crazy and competitive things can get when our families get together.

On All Fours

Reese has been up on all fours for about a week now trying her hardest to crawl. The poor thing gets so frustrated that she often starts crying or collapses from exhaustion.

Toofers

Reese's bottom two teeth came in on Aug 31st. I was finally able to snap a picture today. Aren't they cute?

Little Pumpkin

We picked up some pumpkins today, and let Reese experiment. She liked to look at the colors, feel the textures, and even taste these new vegetables.

Another first

Since we take a picture of nearly every "first" in Reese's life, here is one of her riding in a grocery cart like a big girl for the first time. She loved sitting up, so she babbled and smiled at people while we shopped. She was also fascinated with the checkout process. She sat still and watched in amazement as every single item was scanned. I now know what we can do for entertainment in the coming winter months -- just go to the grocery store!

Bonfire

Reese loved watching the fire and wanted to grab a marshmallow to make herself a smore.

Are You Ready for Some Football

Reese enjoyed her first Vikings game and cheering for Daddy's fantasy football team. We watched the game at Dave & Buster's where Reese was over-stimulated with all the games, TVs, and people cheering. She immediately fell asleep when we got to the car.

Bump

Oh no! Reese got her first bump tonight when she toppled over and hit her forehead on the hard floor. Reese cried a little, but I think Daddy and I were more upset than she was. I know this is the first of many bumps and bruises to come now that Reese is more active, but the first is the hardest (at least for the parents). :(

Pumpkin Festival

We spent the day with the Haags at Reese's very first pumpkin festival. When we first arrived she had just woken up from a nap and was a little groggy. But she soon went on a tractor ride and never slowed down from there! She loved all the people, animals, action, and excitement.

Puffs

It was another day of experimentation. Reese tried Puffs for the first time. She was very curious and loved picking them up; however only a few made it into her mouth and I think she only actually ate one. We'll try this fun game again tomorrow.

Riding Lessons

Our friends Jocelyn and Edie came over today for a little playdate. Reese gave Edie a lesson on how to ride the rocking horse, and Edie caught on quickly.

The girls were very interested in each other and along very well, despite this picture of Edie trying to poke Reese's eye out!

Playing Outside

It was beautiful outside today... and I know these days are limited. So, Reese and I spent as much time outside as possible today. We went for a walk, played on the swing set, sat on a blanket in the yard, and even put the pack 'n play on the front porch. I am personally exhausted from all the fresh air, but Reese is still raring to go this evening. I wish I had her energy!

Tara & Tim's Wedding

Congratulations to Tara and Tim on their wedding today! Reese kept us busy during dinner - in and out of her high chair, sitting, standing, babbling - while her buddy Liam sat nicely reading a book.

Brayden is 3

Happy 3rd birthday to cousin Brayden. We had so much fun at his Spiderman party!

Sippy Cup

We decided to let Reese try out her sippy cup today. She thinks it's fun, but the water flows a little fast for her. Does anyone have suggestions as to how to teach her to use a sippy cup?

Errands Back Home

Reese and I came home from Austin last night. She was excited to see her Daddy and now won't take her eyes off of him. Of course he loves it.

Today we went out and about running errands. First, Todd and I decided to get our haircut at the same time. So we simply brought in the pack 'n play and set it up in the salon between us. She was a good girl and provided entertainment for the stylists. Then we ran to Target where I spent my usual $100 even though we stopped in to grab one thing. How does that always happen?

The Greats

Reese got to see her great grandparents again while in Austin. Great Grandma Cipra is almost 90 and Great Grandpa Wolff is almost 83. They really enjoyed each other.

Busy Busy

Reese now needs constant stimulation and loves standing up (with a little help to keep her balanced). She sure keeps us busy!

Pianist

Will Reese become a professional pianist? She seems to be taking her piano playing very seriously!
