40th Anniversary

Happy 40th Anniversary to Grandma and Grandpa Cipra!  We LOVED having you with us on vacation.  Thank you for coming!

Texas Day 5

Our final day in Texas simply consisted of traveling home.

We probably annoyed the other passangers, but entertained the girls by singing many verses of "Wheels on the Bus" on the rental car return shuttle bus.

The girls were troopers in the airport, and still like each other after being together non-stop for 5 days.

Emmy cooperated by sleeping most of the flight home, while Reese completed an entire activity book with Grandma.

The trip was a huge success!  And it's nice to be home!

Texas Day 4

Day four in Texas was very busy.  It started with a quick photo shoot where Emmy learned to pose and say "cheese."  These pictures were totally worth the big purple stain she got on her pants.

We had fun at the Moody Gardens this morning.

Reese has a super sensitive nose, and could barely stand the smell in the aquarium part of the Gardens. She held her nose for an hour straight.

A highlight was a 3D movie about the "March of the Monarchs".

This afternoon we went to a waterpark.

Daddy thought "this was it" as he went down this middle giant pink slide.  Then he told me that I should try it -- no thanks!

Texas Day 3

On day three, we lounged around the hotel for awhile.

We headed back at the Children's Museum because we enjoyed it so much!

Then we picked Daddy up from his meetings and drove to Galveston.  Emmy cooperated again by sleeping the whole way in the car, and Reese took a snooze too.  When we arrived, we were ready to hit the pool.

That evening we headed out to dinner.

Grandma found out crawfish (a "must-have" according to the person who gave her a pedicure) were a lot of work.  She was so excited (and messy) when she was finally done!

After dinner the girls LOVED running on the beach, writing their names in the sand, and wading into the water.  They were just giddy with excitement.

Reese wrote her name in the sand.  She told me, "I'm not very good at the e's.... or the s's.  But I'm good at the R's!!!"

Then Emmy tried to write her name too.  She kept yelling "Y!!!" and actually drew a pretty good letter y.

Texas Day 2

On day two in Texas, Daddy headed off to his meetings but left the rest of us with a full agenda.

First, we were off to the Houston Aquarium for some indoor and outdoor fun.

Then, after a chocolate treat which required an outfit change...

... we headed to the Houston Children's Museum.  It was seriously the best children's museum we have ever been to -- particularly the toddler area for Emmy.

Of course Reese has fun, too.
