Back to Work

After taking almost a full year off of work, I have returned to General Mills.  I'm just working part-time (3 days a week) on projects.  My current project is for a new service we are testing called "Betty Crocker Kitchens home-delivered meals.  Check it out if you are a senior, or care for a senior, in the Twin Cities area.  Click here for a link to the website to learn more.

In my second week back to work, I was reminded what it is like to be a working mom...
  • Emmy woke up in the night with a fever that didn't go down despite taking ibuprofen and Tylenol.  She was up most of the night, and therefore I was up too.
  • The next morning, Heather called to say that both Carly and Ellie are sick, so the girls could not go there that day.
  • Reese woke up and bawled becasue she could not go to Heather's house.
  • We called Grandma and Grandpa Haag to come watch the girls for a few hours just during my important meetings for the day, everything else had to be rescheduled.
  • I am reminded again that it's pretty "easy" to be a working mom... when everyone is healthy.
