Week 2

I'm happy to report that in week 2, Reese is still loving Kindergarten.  Here are some highlights....

• Perhaps most surprising, Reese is going to bed early (8:00 compared to her 11:00 summer "bedtime") with very little complaining.  This is a whole new world for all of us.
• Reese has memory work 2-3 times per week.  She has an amazing memory, so I'm really not worried about this weekly task as long as she can stay engaged.  She has successful passed her first memory work assignment in which she recited to Mrs. Schutte, "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.  Genesis 1:1."
• Reese completed her first homework assignment in which she had to look through magazines and find pictures that started with the first letter of her name.  I was most impressed with the first picture she found all on her own -- the upper right in the picture that she called "resting".

• She smiles, sings, reads, and talks non-stop on the drive to and from school.
