The Wizard of Oz Monkeys

Tonight, we enjoyed The Wizard of Oz play at St. John's.

The K-2nd graders kicked off the night with some adorable monkey songs.  They sang a monkey counting song that went like this...

Monkey 1 and Monkey 2, Monkeys do the hula hoop
 Monkey 3 and Monkey 4, Monkeys skateboard to the store
 Monkey 5 and Monkey 6, Monkeys jump on Pogo stick
 Monkey 7 and Monkey 8, Monkeys make a silly face
 Monkey 9 and Monkey 10, Monkeys hug a monkey friend Eee Eee Aah Aah Ooo Ooo Ooo 

 And the theme from the old TV show The Monkees...

Here we come, walkin'
Down the street.
We get the funniest looks from
Ev'ry one we meet.

And people say we monkey around.
But we're too busy singing

We go wherever we want to,

Then, the 3rd-5th graders put on a great performance.   It was a fun night!
